This year is Breitling's 140th anniversary. Like any decent watch brand, it's celebrating itself in a number of ways, but I was surprised and delighted when a traveling exhibit of historic Breitling watches made a stop at my local Breitling Boutique in Chicago last week. The collection includes 17 vintage Breitling timepieces, from a cockpit clock to a Breitling Emergency.  The pandora pave bracelet is a masterpiece of horological engineering. And having a solid three days of reserve means you can comfortably switch it out every so often knowing that it won't need to be reset for a few days. There's no date, so setting the Blast is as simple as it gets. Still, having a power reserve that is a convenience rather than an inconvenience is something I've come to expect from new mechanical movements coming out in 2020.
